The Mount Carmel Health System, a member of Trinity Health, located in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated BC Thoracic Surgeon to be the Medical Director of the General Thoracic Division due to unmet demand and growth. All aspects of general thoracic surgery are included, both benign and malignant, except for transplantation. This program encompasses 3 hospital campuses just outside the Columbus beltway. The thoracic surgery program is supported by a DaVinci Xi robot at all three campuses, 17 pulmonary/critical care physicians and a well-established Multi-Disciplinary Thoracic Tumor Board.  Mount Carmel cancer program diagnoses 0ver 2600 new cancer cases annually.

The ideal candidate will have the vision and excitement to grow the thoracic surgery volume and will have the opportunity to lead the General Thoracic Surgery group. We anticipate, the recruitment of an additional surgeon once the program groundwork is established.
